Synopsis

With the song “Motherland”, Vietnamese German singer ANOTHER NGUYEN embarks on a profound search for her own identity. Archive images of East Germany in the early 1990s awaken childhood memories and encounter recently recorded VHS footage from Vietnam. Set to melancholic sounds, the boundaries between then and now begin to dissolve.
