Filmfestival Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival

Since its inception in 1989, the Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival (YIDFF) has pursued the mission of making documentary filmmaking visible as a social tool. Held biennially, the festival presents a broad spectrum of films – from poetic, experimental works to politically engaged documentaries.
