Kurzsuechtig ist das wichtigste Kurzfilmfestival der Region Leipzig/Mitteldeutschland und präsentiert seit 2004 jährlich im Frühjahr aktuelle Kurzfilme aus Sachsen, Sachsen-Anhalt und Thüringen. Mit Wettbewerben in den Kategorien Animation, Dokumentation, Fiktion, Experimentalfilm und Künstlerische Arbeiten / Expanded Media bietet das Festival eine lebendige Plattform für junge Filmschaffende, regionale Talente und frische filmische Handschriften. Ergänzt durch Gespräche, Workshops und Networking-Formate versteht sich Kurzsuechtig als kreativer Treffpunkt der ostdeutschen Kurzfilmszene.
