Filmfestival Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur

Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur combines continuity and innovation. Since its founding in 1997, it has grown into an established meeting place for filmmakers and film enthusiasts while continuously introducing new ideas through thematic focus programmes, experimental sections and Industry Events. The festival opens Winterthur to international cinema, presenting films from more than 50 countries and translating global cinematic diversity into a local cultural event with a strong sense of community. Through its year-round activities—including Switzerland’s largest short-film archive and the Kurzfilmnacht tour—the festival sustainably promotes short-film culture and makes Winterthur a centre for short film.
