Brot für die Welt combines support for self-help with advocacy for a fairer global economy and sustainable development policy. Founded in 1959, the aid organisation of Germany’s Protestant churches is financed mainly by donations and works worldwide to combat hunger, poverty, and injustice. It supports projects and initiatives that improve the living conditions of particularly disadvantaged communities, including in food security, education, health, water and sanitation, democracy, gender equality, and peacebuilding.
