Synopsis

Filmmaker Jasmin Phan joins her father, Thao, on a journey back to the time of his arrival in Germany forty years ago. Tracing the contours of her own family history, Jasmin discovers new facets of her father while viewing the period of German reunification from the perspective of a former contract worker.
