The Festival du nouveau cinéma (FNC) brings over 200 films from around 60 countries to Montreal every October, celebrating creative diversity and cinematic innovation. Since its founding in 1971, the FNC has championed both established filmmakers and emerging talents experimenting with original perspectives and new cinematic languages. Its diverse competition and non-competition programs showcase avant-garde cinema, interactive works, and immersive media art.
