Dokumentarfilm über reisende Frauen Crowdfunding - Kampagne für „Lichter der Straße“

The team behind “Lichter der Straße” has launched a crowdfunding campaign to bring Thuringian filmmaker Anna Friedrich’s documentary to cinemas across Germany following four sold-out premieres at DOK Leipzig.

To raise awareness of women living semi-nomadic lives in Germany, the film team is organising a community-based cinema tour instead of using traditional distribution structures.

The project is being financed through Startnext – a collective form of support in which many small contributions make a project possible.

„Lichter der Straße“ porträtiert Frauen, die bewusst ein Leben jenseits starrer Strukturen gewählt haben. Unsere selbstorganisierte Kinotour durch kleine, oft ländliche Kinos spiegelt genau diesen Geist wider.

Even 10 euros can make a small but meaningful contribution. As a thank-you, supporters receive a personal message from the team featuring a thought-provoking quote from the film. It is a simple but lovely way to become part of the project.

For those who would like to enjoy the film not only in spirit but also visually at home, a limited set of five postcards featuring original images from the film is available for 40 euros, together with the official film poster designed by ricaletto and Nick Teplov.

Anyone who would like to experience “Lichter der Straße” with an audience of their own can organise a screening in a city of their choice from 250 euros – whether at an arthouse cinema, a cultural centre or an alternative venue.

What happens behind the camera? A contribution of 600 euros makes an exclusive film screening with director Anna Friedrich possible, offering first-hand insight into how the film was made and the stories that shaped it.

Whether the contribution is small or large, every bit of support helps bring “Lichter der Straße” to the big screen. The campaign runs until 8 March on Startnext.
