Elena Šandera

Elena Šandera’s sporting journey is defined by courage, perseverance, and a willingness to leave familiar plans behind for a new challenge. Until 2021, she was following a conventional academic path: after finishing high school, she had been accepted to study medicine, her dream course. At the beginning of 2021, however, she changed direction, rediscovered her passion for windsurfing, and set herself the ambitious goal of competing in the new Olympic iQFOiL windsurfing class. With no prior foiling experience, she embarked on a life-changing adventure marked by setbacks and moments of doubt, but also by personal growth and remarkable determination.
